Nope, not a John Deere 7520 Tractor Video: A Rice Farming TV Retrospective!

I wish this was a tractor video! I wish this was about our John Deere 7520. If it was we’d have started the 2019 planting season. With winter rains here in California we have been delayed. We are still waiting for our rice fields to dry out. We are still waiting to start our tractor work.

In the meantime I’d like to share with you a Rice Farming TV retrospective article that was published in this week’s Chico News and Review. The title is Learning From the Land. It’s available in news stands from April 4-11, 2019. I hope you enjoy it!

Here are links to some of the videos that were referenced in the article: How Rice is Planted in California: Breaking Ground! – an explanatory video about the tractor work needed to prepare the ground for rice seed.

How Rice is Harvested in California! – follow us along as we cut rice and deliver the crop to a dryer for storage.

My New Autonomous Agriculture Drone! – learn about the future of farming in this drone video.

Rice Harvest 1989! – a blast from the past. What’s the difference between tractors and harvest combines now and then.
