In this episode of Rice Farming TV I’m going to dissect a rice plant in search of its head. The rice fields have made quite a bit of progress as they are in the reproductive phase. The “head” of the rice plant I’m referring to is the panicle or the spikelets and hulls that will eventually fill and form rice kernels. We call this phase “heading out”.
Rice plants are self-pollinating so I’m going to show you, in slow-motion, the pollen by shaking the plant.
I think you’ll be surprise of the progress of the rice crop since the last episode.
